Sorry For All The Mass Effect

This was originally going to be an art blog, but now it is 100% not that. Sometimes there are nsfw things. I tag all of my gifs with #gif.

Anonymous said: Do lesbian's really have any institutional privilege over bi women on the basis of sexuality though? Bi erasure sucks (I am bi and deal with it constantly from friends who feel the need to speculate constantly on "which I prefer" or tell me to choose), but that's not the same as the institutional oppression we face from homophobia/misogyny, which lesbians also face, and I find the insinuation that they are our oppressors just like men and straight people are really offensive

Well yeah??? Do you know what our numbers are like compared to monosexual queer people?

Our suicidality rate is going on double theirs, our rate of mental illness is double theirs and this is caused by a lack of access to support from the wider queer community. Our numbers skew theirs, but we are still invisible and still excluded so they get the resources we need.

And just anecdotally Ive been told on a number of occasions by lesbians that bisexual women carry disease and should be kept separate from the rest of the gay community because all we do is spread STDs and lie and cheat.

So yes, i do think monosexual gay people carry a degree of institutional privilege over bisexual people within the gay community - let me repeat that a DEGREE of privilege WITHIN THE GAY COMMUNITY.

Its not the same or any where near as damaging as the overarching privilege held by men and straight people but it’s there and it’s still extremely toxic and contributes directly to our obscenely high rate of mental illness and suicidality.

There are numbers, there are studies and they all get swept under the carpet because pff well work it out for yourself

Bierasure is an institution and it is killing us.

Uh huh

I’m sorry but what does being homosexual or bi have to go with anything about having suicidal thought? Trust me I know plenty of straight people who are suicidal and who have take their own life. Instead of focussing the bi, and homosexual aspect of suicide why not just stop the entire thing?

Amazing

I am so relieved that I can finally debut this Sailor Moon piece.  It’s been finished for quite some time now but my twin Benjamin Anders has been holding it ransom. Needless to say he has finally revealed his incredible redesigns of the Sailor Scouts, so please go give him some love!
Anyways this isn’t the last Sailor Moon piece from me. Get ready for something special…
